Welcome to Cold Move

Cold Move is a Shropshire based, privately owned business operating in the food supply chain sector. We have been in business for over 70 years and we pride ourselves on providing industry leading levels of customer service.

We offer frozen and ambient storage solutions across a variety of different sized chambers on our two sites in Oswestry. With six differing sized chambers and a combination of mobile, wide aisle static and narrow aisle static racking we can store up to 14,000 pallets.

Currently we have the capability to blast freeze up to 150 pallets per day, in a controlled environment, utilising the latest energy efficient blast freezers from industry leading suppliers.

Our warehouse management system has full RF capability and all product (pallets or cases) is identified with a unique barcode offering highly accurate traceability throughout all of our operations.

We hold an “AA+” British Retail Consortium Global Standard accreditation in Storage & Distribution covering our frozen , ambient, packaging storage, blast freezing and tempering facilities.

  • All collections and deliveries must be booked via our customer service team, by emailing customerservice@coldmove.co

  • You can view your stock in a live portal anytime through our customer access, which can be found in the link at the top right of our website.

     If you do not have a Customer Portal account, please contact customerservice@coldmove.co who will help set one up.

  • We don’t operate our own fleet, however, for full loads we can arrange point to point refrigerated transport through our network of trusted suppliers.

  • Currently, our temperature-controlled facilities run as cold stores to -20°, we do have the ability to run at 0-3°, but this would be arranged as a chamber rate basis, not by the pallet, and is subject to availability.

  • Yes, we have toilets and vending machines with hot and cold drinks and snacks available.

  • Arrive at the MYC entrance (SY10 8NN), use the intercom for access, enter through gate and head for reception. Sign in on the tablet and use intercom to ask to see the relevant person you require, then report to the engineering office for a permit to work.
